On Wednesday, January 11th at 5:30 PM via Zoom the DC Caucus of Rank and File Educators (DC-CORE) will use our general body meeting to begin creating member driven contract proposals and a campaign. Register for the meeting here. All WTU Members are welcome!
At December's WTU Rep assembly DC-CORE's resolution was voted to move to an ad-hoc committee run by President Lyons. The first meeting is scheduled for January 25th.
Too often committees are used to delay member proposals. We don't have to wait and see how that will play out. This is our contract and we can take ownership and use our collective voices to gather member feedback to make a public report of our own vision and proposals, modeling for the WTU what we want to see.
